Sportpark Frick wanted to do more with their sports facility by creating new value for casual guests and families. Their solution: the interactive MultiBall system.
Installed on a standard court wall, MultiBall blends sports and gaming with intuitive motion tracking, bringing playful, active experiences. It’s fun, accessible, and encourages real physical activity, even for those who don’t usually feel at home in a gym or on a court.
“Especially for children who normally have little access to sports, the digital component builds a bridge and makes it easier for them to get started,” says Susanne Meisel, co-owner of Sportpark Frick.
Families at the Sportpark quickly became the main users. Some playing together, others using the digital play wall to entertain kids while adults played right next to them. Interest peaked during school holidays, when parents were actively looking for ways to keep children moving and engaged.
The MultiBall system is installed on one of Sportpark Frick’s badminton courts. Depending on the booking, this court is either used for traditional badminton or transformed into an interactive play zone with MultiBall.
From Birthday Parties to On-Demand-Play
MultiBall now adds a layer of gamification in sports and accessibility to Sportpark Frick's offerings which include badminton, squash, tennis, basketball and more. The system supports their community focus, especially as interest in digital fitness and interactive sports facilities continues to grow.
Key benefits they're experiencing:
- New revenue potential during off-peak hours
- Better service for families and casual guests
- Stronger alignment with their mission of promoting movement for all ages
- A foundation for new formats, like team-building events
For facilities looking to reach broader audiences, without making structural changes or adding complexity, this type of digital movement system can be a smart next step.
